Job Title:
Human Resources Assistant I
Basic Purpose:
Working closely with the Human Resources Department and the Detroit Office management teams to provide positive HR customer service for the Detroit Office.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of new hire paperwork and personnel files, including processing all security badges.
- Supports new hire coordination including scheduling orientation & occasional facilitation.
- Responsible for maintaining accurate HR records including personnel, benefits files as well as training records.
- Support CIA programs and ensures data entries are processed in the system in a timely basis.
- Supports Wellness, Safety, and Social committees. Assists with planning and developing activities such as monthly engagement events, company picnic, holiday luncheon, wellness events, etc.
- Support on-site activities by scheduling meeting rooms, greeting visitors, ordering meals as necessary. Arranging for guest wi-fi access and security badges as necessary.
- Maintains and orders supplies for the department; to include service awards & bereavement sympathy gift.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Associates Degree with 1-3 years of professional experience. (Direct HR experience preferred.)
- Team-oriented person with excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage time and tasks efficiently.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills required.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Experience with ADP/HRIS database is a plus.
